A TOTAL OF $85,000 WAS REQUESTED FOR FOUR CATEGORIES: TUITION REIMBURSEMENT $15,000; REFERRAL BONUS $15,000; NO CALL OUT BONUS $45,000 AND STAFF APPRECIATION FUND $10,000. TUITION REIMBURSEMENTS WILL INCLUDE COSTS FOR CNA CERTIFICATION COURSES FOR STAFF WHO HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED FOR 2 YEARS BY THE NJ SVH. REFERRAL BONUSES WILL BE GIVEN TO EMPLOYEES WHO REFER NEW CNAS AND TO NEW HIRES. NO CALL OUT BONUSES WILL ENCOURAGE LESS FREQUENT CALL OUTS WHICH IMPACTS NURSING SHORTAGES. A STAFF APPRECIATION FUND WILL BE USED TO DO THINGS TO SHOW APPRECIATION FOR THE NURSING STAFF IN AN EFFORT TO BOOST MORALE.
