TOTAL REQUEST WAS $266,498 OF WHICH THE VA WILL PAY HALF OR $133,249 AND THE SVH WILL CONTRIBUTE THE OTHER HALF. THE FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR A RETENTION BONUS TO HELP RECRUIT NEW FULL-TIME NURSING STAFF, TO INCENTIVIZE NURSING STAFF TO TRANSITION FROM PART TIME TO FULL-TIME, AND TO RETAIN STAFF FOR 6 MONTHS OR LONGER.
Base award description: TOTAL REQUEST WAS $266,500 OF WHICH THE VA WILL PAY HALF OR $133,250 AND THE SVH WILL CONTRIBUTE THE OTHER HALF. THIS WILL PROVIDE FUNDS FOR MARKETING TOOLS TO RECRUIT NEW FULL-TIME NURSING STAFF. THE PROGRAM WILL ALSO PROVIDE RETENTION BONUSES TO INCENTIVIZE EXISTING PART-TIME STAFF TO CONVERT TO FULL TIME STAFF. LASTLY, RETENTION BONUSES WILL BE USED TO REWARD STAFF WHO COMPLETE 6 MONTHS TO ONE YEAR AND FROM STAFF WHO COMPLETE MORE THAN ONE YEAR OF SERVICE.
