A TOTAL OF $120,000 WAS REQUESTED FOR FOUR STATE VETERANS HOMES IN MISSISSIPPI. THE SVHS WILL COVER $60,000 OF THIS AMOUNT WHILE THE GRANT PROVIDES THE ADDITIONAL $60,000. OF THIS AMOUNT, EACH HOME WILL BE ALLOCATED $15,000 FOR THEIR STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WHICH ALLOTS $2,500 EACH FOR 6 NURSE APPLICANTS. THE PROGRAM REQUIRES 6 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR OF FULL OR PART IME EMPLOYMENT COMMITMENT TO RECEIVE THE AWARD. IT IS USED FOR CNAS, LPNS, AND RNS WHO PROVIDE HEALTHCARE SERVICES AT ONE OF THE MISSISSIPPI STATE VETERANS HOMES.
